How much research do you do on the character/personality you are about to perform? If you find the real life of the character, the script won’t feel like a script. Use pictures from magazines to give an image to your character. Notes on your script (in pencil) will help you keep track of personality traits. Everyone has a different technique to connect to their character, so try it all and see what works for you.
